Adult Learners' Week 2013 Adult Learners' Week Contest: Learning Makes a Difference

African Canadian Transition Option
If you Self-identify as being Black/from the African Canadian community (of African descent), you also have an option of starting the ALP program in the African Canadian Transition option offered at Akerley Campus. Topics such as racism, power, privilege, and politics, and will be encouraged to strive for excellence in all that you do. Using the principles of Africentricity, information is presented through the student’s eyes by validating African knowledge and contributions to society. You are exposed to African Canadian role models and mentors and become empowered to embrace a positive self-image.
Adult Learning Program (ALP)
Complete your High School Graduation Diploma for Adults. The Adult Learning Program (ALP) is a unique program designed to meet the needs of adult learners who do not have a high school diploma. For more information click above on the title. Location are at the NSCC.

Continuing Care
This program will provide direct client care with home support agencies, nursing homes and homes for the aged. Your clients may include: the elderly, disabled, or convalescent persons and their families. In addition to your class studies, you will complete work terms in long-term care and home support environments. click above for more information.
